Q: I'm in a wonderfully 80's mood today, and it feels great. I'm listening to
Walk Like an Egyptian on vinyl, wearing my favorite denim shirt, and
watching Nick at Nite. If only I had a can of Tab, it would be a perfect
evening.
All this nostalgia has caused my mind to drift to one of the greatest shows of the 80's (and late 70's): The Love Boat. I'd tune in each week to see which stars (or has-beens) Mr. Spelling had in store for us. Gene Rayburn? Charles Nelson Reilly? Perhaps Bret Summers? Maybe Betty White? They all made appearances.
It seemed, however, that some guest stars appeared more often than others. For today's question, you get one point if you name a star who was on at least three times. If you can name the one star who made the most guest appearances, you'll get a bonus point.
A: The incomparable Charo appeared on The Love Boat seven times, more than anyone else. David Hedison and Jimmie "J" Walker tied for second, at six showings each.
